Cuban chess player Maritza Arribas Robaina, author of the main surprise of Round 1

8 pairs were to play tie-breaks today. Upset of the day is the outcome of the confrontation between Bella Khotenashvili (2504) and Maritza Arribas Robaina (2273). The Cuban chess player won the first game and calmly drew the second. Mariya Muzychuk and Christina Foisor drew two rapid games, two more rapid games, two blitz games...and only in Armageddon Mariya won by drawing with the Black pieces!
