A leading Russian channel “Russia-2” has a sports program called “All included”. Unsurprisingly, one of their most popular projects is the “Girl of the month” contest. Most nominees are well-known female athletes, while some artists are also invited from time to time.

The reigning Olympic women’s chess champion & Russian women’s chess champion Natalia Pogonina was recently featured in the program. We would like to share with you the official pictures and a few more exclusive images:

	Why is there Women's Chess? I understand why genders are divided for weight lifting. But chess has nothing to do with the physical body. So why is the Olympic competition split into a male and a female category? Is the Olympic committee implying that men and women are not on an equal footing when it comes to a mental game of chess and need to be separated for some biological reason? 	Curious about gender split in non-physic I am with Bojan Land on this one. Why do we continue to separate the genders in the game of chess [and darts for that matter]? Is it just some "guy" thing and mentality - "We've always done this way?".
