Mariya Muzychuk vs. Anna Ushenina

It's been a long time since the Ukrainian Women's Chess Championship has attracted all the top players. This year was a pleasant exception.

 10 Gaponenko, Inna            UKR IM  2404 14101181  5.0 2375  9  5   +0.16

There were no tie-break matches, so the winners were determined according to the SB score. Mariya Muzychuk won the gold medal, Kateryna Lahno - silver, Anna Ushenina - bronze. Mariya and Kateryna will soon be playing in the European Club Cup for the reigning champion AVS along with Natalia Pogonina, Antoaneta Stefanova and Viktoria Cmilyte.

For everyone to have
For everyone to have a shot at the top prize, this would have to be a haaicdnp tournament. One I have tried before is>>> for every 200 rating points you are ahead of your opponent you must remove 1 point in value from your starting line-up. Thus a 2300 player meeting a 1900 player would remove two pawns from his army. Against a 1700 player, he might remove his queens knight, for example. Thus, everyone would feel they have a chance to beat a GM
