Seven more Q & A this week:

Q1: Will you exchange a bishop for a knight?

A1: It depends on the position. Modern chess theory considers bishops to be slightly more powerful.

Q2: I was playing the white side of a Scandanavian last night, and I had a winning position after 12 moves. Then I lost focus, made some bad moves and lost the game. I'm sure this doesn't happen to you, but it happens to me periodically and is very frustrating. Any advice on how to keep this from happening in the future?

This happens to everyone once in a while. There are two main sides: a) psychological - never relax before the game is over, even if it the win is obvious. Learn how to stay focused all game long b) physical - stay in top shape so that not to get exhausted by the end of the game. People get tired and make inexplicable blunders, especially in time trouble.

Q3: Was it worth it worth all your time and effort to become a WGM? Are you happy, or do you wish you did something else?

A3: Yes, of course. I love chess and am happy to be able to practice it every day!

Q4: Do you have a regular job?
A4: No, I'm a full-time chess pro. I do have an MA in Law though, but have never worked as a lawyer.

Q5: It is possible to improve chess level just by playing a lot of games?
A5: Yes, if you carefully analyse them and learn from your mistakes. However, that is less efficient than playing and studying before the next tournament.

Q6: Can you play blindfolded chess?
A6: Of course. I like solving puzzles blindfoldedly, that takes one's chess thinking to a new level.

Q7: Will we see an analysis of the Pogonina vs the World game?
A7: Yes, I will publish it after I return from the Russian Club Cup in Dagomys.
